New Ideas

One of the principles we discussed during the seminar/workshop that created this blog was to face new ideas without fear. I believe as journalists we do that well. Perhaps like soldiers or politicians? But what of the public? Do they embrace new ideas or not — and how quickly. Which part of society is first— youth obviously. But socio economic status also has a large impact.

Opasnosti interneta

Da li internet, pored svih korisnih informacija koje nam pruza, moze i negativno uticati na svoje korisnike? Koliko moze da bude opasan i da li su deca najugrozenija? Da li mnogobrojni pornografski i nezakoniti sadrzaji predstavljaju opasnost za porodicu? Odgovor na ova pitanja potrazili smo medju Nislijama.

Imam racunar kod kuce, ali ne posecujemo takve sajtove. Cesto nailazim na sajtove ciji je sadrzaj nasilje, ali mislim da oni najcesce ne podsticu na nasilje. 

 

  

 

 

      Ima i onih koji misle da internet predstavlja opasnost, cak su svedoci takvog uticaja.

Internet moze imati los uticaj na decu, ova savremena tehnologija je korisna isto toliko koliko i opasna. Moja porodica nema negativnih iskustava, ali sam od prijatelja i rodjaka cula lose stvari. Pored toga, treba umereno koristiti internet, jer neki zaista  preteruju i vise komuniciraju preko internet nego medjusobom.

 

 

 

         I mladi su svesni da internet moze da otudji ljude i da bude opasan, medjutim oni smatraju da treba koristiti njegove prednosti.

Internet utice na odnose sa ljudima i u porodici, jer se ljudi otudjuju. Cesto moze da bude opasan i da utice na stav pojedinca, u zavisnosti od vrste sajta i vestine njegovog autora da utice na korisnika. Ipak, treba koristiti prednosti interneta, kao sto je kupovina koja stedi vreme.

  

      Svakako, internet pruza mnogo mogucnosti i novih saznanja, ali treba biti svestan i opasnosti koje su moguce. Treba biti oprezan, zastiti porodicu od losih uticaja interneta, vodeci racuna posebno o sadrzaju sajtova koje posecuju najmladji.

 

Bad influences of the internet

        Can the Internet, besides all useful information it offers us, also have negative influence on its users? How much can it be dangerous and are children mostly endangered? Are many pornography and illegal contents threat for a family? We looked for answers to these questions among the citizens of Nis.

      I have a PC at home but I do not visit such websites. I often find websites which contain violence but my opinion is they mainly do not encourage violence.

      Also, there are those people who think the Internet is a treat or they even witnessed such an event.

CH: Jelena Vukic

      The Internet may have bad influence on children; this modern technology is useful but also dangerous. My family does not have any negative experience but I heard some bad things from my relatives and friends. Besides that, one should use the Internet moderately because some people really go too far and they communicate more by the Internet than among each other.

        Young people are also aware that the Internet may alienate people and become dangerous, but they think we should use its advantages.

         The Internet influences human and family relationships, because people become alienated. It can often be dangerous and influence attitudes of an individual, depending on particular website and its author’s skill to influence users. However, we should use the Internet advantages, such as online shopping, which save us time. 

        Of course, the Internet offers many opportunities and new knowledge but we should also be aware of possible treats. One should be careful, protect family from bad Internet influence, being careful especially about contents of the websites which children visit.

Ko poseduje internet? – Who owns the Internet?

Za razliku od pre pet godina, kada je kompjuter i pristup internetu uglavnom bio privilegija ekonomski boljestojećih porodica i pojedinaca, situacija je sada mnogo bolja. Sve veći broj Nišlija uz lični računar ima pristup internetu. Rad na računaru je postao jedan od obaveznih predmeta čak i u nižim školama. Ipak, u poređenju sa zemljama zapada i dalje puno zaostajemo. Internet uglavnom koriste studenti, naučni radnici i poslovni ljudi.

unlike five years ago, when computer and internet access were mainly a PRIVILEGE of the rich families and individuals, situation is much better now. More and more of Nis citizens, besides their PC also have the Internet access. Work on PC has become one of the regular school subjects even in primary schools. However, compared to the Western countries, we are still staying behind. The Internet is mainly used by students, scholars and businessmen.

Jelena Marković, profesor, 39 godina:

Više mladi ljudi, koji su inače naklonjeni savremenim tehnologijama, ali čini mi se da ima sasvim dovoljno i pripadnika srednjih generacija, koji se usuđuju da se upuste u tu avanturu. A kada se upuste u avanturu, shvate njene prednosti. Ekonomski položaj sada više i nema presudnu ulogu, internet je postao pristupačan svima.

Jelena Markovic, a teacher, 39 years old:

More young people, who are more orientated to modern technology, but I also find there is quite sufficient number of the middle aged generation who dare to participate this adventure. And once they do, they learn about its advantages. Now, economical situation is not of a major SIGNIFICANCE and the Internet is ACCESSIBLE for everyone.

Jelena Cvetković, student, 22 godine:

Mislim da internet poseduje svaka porodica, svako domćinstvo koje ima kompjuter. Danas se polako gubi ta granica da je kompjuter privilegija, kao što je bilo pre dve, tri godine. Sada su kompjuter i internet svakodnevna potreba.

Jelena Cvetkovic, a student, 22 years old:

I think that every family has the Internet, every household with a PC. Nowadays, that limitation – that a PC is PRIVILEGE – disappears slowly, unlike it was two or three years ago. Now, PC-s and the Internet are an everyday need.

 

 

 

 

Jasna Stevović, privatni preduzetnik, 45 godina:

U današnje vreme, što se tiče posla, koriste svi internet. Ali i ovako u porodicama sve više dece ga koristi. Mislim da, bez obzira na standard, internet je nužna stvar, bez obzira čime se bavi. ja svakodnevno koristim internet, pomaže mi u poslu, kod plaćanja, kontakta.

Jasna Stevović, a private enterpreneur, 45 years old:

Nowadays, everybody uses the Internet for work. But also, more and more children are using it in their families. I think that, regardless the living standard, the Internet is a NECESSITY, REGARDLESS of what a person does. I use the Internet everyday. It is very helpful for my work, paying bills, contacting people.

 

 

 

Milan Petrović, student, 23 godine:

U Srbiji više mladi ljudi imaju internet, ali ima dosta mladih studenata koji imaju pristup internetu samo na fakultetu. Mislim da generalno su mladi brojniji korisnici interneta. Sve zavisi od ekonomskog faktora, ali on nije presudan.

Milan Petrovic, a student, 23 years old:

In Serbia, more and more young people have the Internet, but there are many young students who have the Internet access only at University. In general, I think that young people use the Internet more than the rest of the population. Everything depends on economical situation, but is not of a major significance.

Danas studenti, visokoobrazovani ljudi i oni koji žive u većim gradovima najviše koriste internet. Ekonomski status nije presudan, ali je bitan.

Nowadays, students, university educated people and those who live in big cities mostly use the Internet. Economical situation is not crucial but is still important.

 

 

Israživanja koja su obavljena u Srbiji pre dve godina pokazuju da najviše računara imaju žitelji Beograda, zatim oni u Vojvodini i na kraju oni koji žive u centralnoj Srbiji. Tada je računar imalo 15 odsto stanovništva centralne Srbije, a tek polovina i priključak na internet.

The researches done in Serbia two years ago show that citizens of Belgrade own the biggest number of PC-s, then – citizens of Vojvodina and, finally, those who live in Central Serbia. Accordingly, only 15% of population living in Central Serbia own a PC, but only half of them have the Internet access.

Ucenje umetnosti intervjua i anketa na ulicama Nisa – Learning the art of the interview and “vox-pop” on the streets of Nis

Sreda, najzanimljiviji dan seminara. Najzad se cela grupa ukljucila u rad, svi su bili aktivni i kroz posao smo se i bolje upoznali. Nakon vrlo korisnih smernica koje nam je profesor uputio u vezi sa pitanjima i pripremama za intervju, simulirali smo prave tv emisije. Svi su imali priliku da pokazu koliko su vesti u ispitivanju vaznih licnosti, a neki su i uspesno predstavljali strucnjake iz raznih oblasti. Popodne smo izasli na ulice i anketirali prolaznike od kojih smo saznali kako i koliko koriste internet. Ovo je bilo jako korisno i interesantno iskustvo i nadamo se da ce biti jos prakticnog rada do kraja nedelje.

Wednesday, the most interesting day of the seminar. Finally, the whole group got envolved in work, everybody was active and, through working, we got to know each other better. After a few useful guiding points which the professor presented us about asking questions and preparing for an interview, we simulated real TV shows. Everyone got a chance to show how skilled they are at interviewing important people and some of us did a very good job at representing experts from different areas. In the afternoon, we went out on the streets and interviewed passers by, from whom we learned how and for what purpose they use the Internet for. This was a very useful and interesting experience and we hope that there will be more practical work untill the end of the week.

Zašto koristite internet

Istraživanja pokazuju da je u Srbiji svaki četvrti stanovnik bar jednom upotrebio internet, a da je čak devedeset odsto nakon toga počelo stalno da ga koristi. Medju njima je najviše ljudi starosti do 35 godina. Pitali smo ljude na ulicama Niša za šta oni koriste internet.

Koristim internet za skidanje muzike, stripova, fimova, ali i za spremanje ispita.

 

 

Marijana Denčić, 20 godina
Koristim za kontakt sa prijateljima koji su u inostranstvu, ali takodje i za zabavu, najčešće koristim sajt YouTube.

Uglavnom koristim internet za čitanje novina i četovanje.

Boban Vidojković, 26 godina

Slabo koristim internet, samo ponekad gledam oglase, kao ovih dana kada želim da kupim auto.

 

Dragan Marković, 21 godina
Koristim internet za mnogo stvari: učenje, razonodu, da proširim svoje vidike. Ali najviše koristim da šaljem i primam mejlove.

Ispostavilo se da internet uglavnom koriste mladi ljudi, a da je najčešći razlog surfovanja internetom zabava, a najredji kupovina, premda u svetu ona postaje primarni razlog.

Researhes show that every fourth citizen in Serbia used the Internet at least once, but also, 90% later start using regularly. Among them, there are mostly people up to 35 years of age.
We asked people on the streets of Nis what they use the Internet for.

I use the Internet to download music, movies, comic books, but also as a help when I prepare my exams.

Marijana Dencic, 20
I use it to communicate with my friends who live abroad, but also for fun. I usually go to YouTube.

Milica Stosic, student, 23
I usually use the Internet to read newspaper and chatting.

Boban Vidojkovic, 26
I use the Internet very rarely; sometimes I use it to watch adds, like these days when I want to choose which car to buy.

Dragan Mirkovic, 21
I both study and have fun on the Internet. I use it to expand my views, but still, mostly, I use it to send e-mails.

The conclusion is in Serbia the Internet is mainly used by young people, and the most common reason for surfing is fun, rarely shoping, which on the other hand, is mostly the reason for surfing the Internet outside of Serbia.

Šta za mene internet znači – What does The internet mean to me

Internet je za mene ,pre svega,koristan za obavljanje novinarskog posla,ponekad kao brzi kontakt sa prijateljima I rodjacima u inostranstvu I veoma retko zabava.

The internet is very usefull for me, for doing my job of journalist, sometimes I use it for fast contact with my friends and relatives abroad, I rarily use it for fun.

Istorija interneta/History of The Internet

Drugi dan seminara o internet novinastvu bio je posvecen istoriji interneta I internet novinarstvu. Culi smo zanimljive podatke. Neki od njih bili su za nas novi, neki zaboravljeni, bez obzira sto svakodnevno koristimo internet. Druga tema bili su web sajtovi, saznali smo za mnoge nove adrese, koji ce nam biti korisni u novinarskom poslu. Drugi deo seminara bio je praktican. Na zajednicki blog postavili smo fotografije I nasa razmisljanja o znacaju interneta za svakog od nas. Imali smo uspesan dan, sa puno novih saznanja, posebno u domenu rada sa blogovima.

Second day of course of Internet reporting was about history of internet and internet journalism. We heard some interesting data. Some data were new for us, some forgotten, althougt we use the internet every day. Second theme were web sites, we found out for many new addreses, which would be usefull in our work as journalists. The rest of the course today was practical. On our blog we put photos and our thoughts about the meaning of the internet for everyone of us. We had a sucefull day, with a lot of new information, especially in the area of blogging.

Sta internet znaci za mene? What does internet mean to me?

 

Internet means a lot to me mostly because  when I use it, it makes my job easier.

 

Internet mi puno znaci tim pre sto njegova upotreba olaksava posao.

Za mene internet  znaci  pristup  potrebnim  informacijama za sto uspesnije obavaljanje posla.

 

For me, Internet means an acces to important  information which enables me to do better my job.

Internet za mene predstavlja najbrzi izvor informacija koje mogu da koristim u poslu i za zabavu. Internet mi pomaze i da komuniciram sa prijateljima koji zive u inostranstvu. Veliki sam ljubitelj muzike, pa koristim internet i da nabavljam najsveziju muziku.

Internet is the fastest source of information which I use for job and fun. It helps me to komunicate with friends who live abroad. I am a big fan of music, so I use internet to get new music.
